My name is Kristina Salas. I was raised in Ocean Park, WA and have lived on the peninsula for most of my life. I have traveled to 21 states so far and look forward to traveling more in the future. I have two children and a puppy, they keep me entertained! My husband and I met at Hilltop Middle School (yes where I chose to teach!) when we were in 6th grade! I have been working in the education field for 7 years now.
I started as a Para Educator and loved working with the students so much that I decided to pursue a career in teaching. I obtained my BA in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, out of Pheonix Arizona. What I love most about teaching, is seeing the "Ah-hah" moment on students' faces when they understand something that they had been struggling on. In my classroom, the goal is to have a fun and safe learning environment.
I will teach my students how to relate their learning to every day life in a way that benefits them! I look forward to an exciting year!
